Naval Chaplaincy

Kevin M. Jackson is a native of Montgomery, Alabama.  He served as a Naval Supply Corps Officer from 1994 – 2001. Lieutenant Jackson’s tours included Wardroom Officer, Quality Assurance Officer and Lay-Leader, onboard the USS Puget Sound (AD-38); Lay-Leader, Disbursing and Sales Officer onboard USS Scott (DDG-995). Lieutenant Jackson also served as Comptroller for the Afloat Training Group-Atlantic and Deputy Commander of the Defense Distribution Depot, Cherry Point, North Carolina. Upon completion of his tour in 2001, he served in full time ministry in the civilian sector as a pastor, school administrator, teacher and missionary for fourteen years.

In April of 2012, he was commissioned Ensign as a Chaplain Candidate. He was later commissioned Lieutenant as a U.S. Navy Chaplain in August 2015. Lieutenant Kevin Jackson’s first duty station as a navy chaplain was Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas as Command Chaplain for 10,000 civilians and military personnel. His current tour is at COMNAVSURFLANT Ministry Center as a Force Chaplain. He was deployed with USS McFaul (DDG-74) and is currently assigned to DESRON 22. Lieutenant Jackson’s personal decorations and awards include the Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and the Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer pin. Chaplain Jackson is endorsed by the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International.
