The Shirley Ann Jackson Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship was created to honor the mother of Dr. Kevin M. Jackson because of her love for the visual arts. Ms. Jackson’s first still painting created in 1971 is featured on this page.
As a result, this scholarship has been established to assist students who have at least a 2.5 grade point average, a student at a Historically Black College & University and enrolled in a study of visual and performing arts.
Applicants interested in applying for this scholarship must complete the form located on this page. Upon receipt of your information, you will receive an application and all of the additional items required for consideration. The next scholarship award is for Spring 2021. The deadline to apply is October 15, 2020.
